As is well known, a dcumentary about myself, Ben and a couple of others in the industry, highlighted a young girl named Donna Richardson (Also well-known) She stood tall and proud in front of the cameras (in my humble abode )i.e, National Television and declared to the watching world that she was proud of what she did and moreover did not give a fuck (I paraphrase) what anyone else thought about it.
We had absolutely no adverse phone calls or letters about this, but neither was it featured in the way mentioned above re Chong and others.
The Daily Rags, both tabloid (especially) and broadsheet are solely interested in circulation and scaremongering & sensation guarrantees this from an avaricious Public who feast on scandal and filth - Definately not - on success or pleasurable experiences.
Blame the Daily and Sunday rags, but ponder on why they are bought in such quantity and by whom.

To be fair, Chong was very pro-porn and was proud of what she had done. She certainly said she did not regret anything and was glad she did it. She was even seen debating a pro-porn stance at Cambridge University.

Surely what the press picked up on as the subject matter of the film that she had starred in "The Worlds Biggest Gang Bang" - a film featuring 251 blokes and 1 girl. The voxpop scenes from the VSDA also showed a lot of other porn producers and stars just as uncomfortable with the subject matter of the film (Ona Zee and others all seemed to disapprove of the gang bang and quite understandably as with each film a new bar is set and how far is too far?).

Thats right. In an interview with Richard "Dick Nasty" Sheed he even spoke out about his concerns that the guys were not tested and were taking the condoms off for the cum shots. Ron Jeremy on the other hand thought it was all pretty safe but then he wasnt the one getting fucked by a bunch of untested rednecks dragged in from the street.

This documentary did not set out to make the industry look bad like the Leanne McQueen one did. It was more a study of this girls confused state of mind.

However I think everyone will agree that its disgusting that she was told that those guys were tested when they were not. A very dangerous lie to tell someone. Health and safety at work etc. The producers must be very callous to risk the life of a young girl by telling lies about tests.

But this documentary was not blaming the industry JJ.

It showed that she was fucked up to start with and gave the impression that she went into thhe biz because she was unstable. As I said in my reply to OEJ above it was not a hatchet job like the McQueen documentary more a story about an unbalanced young womans experiences.

....but the implication was there: she's 'damaged', so she goes into porno.
I agree there have been heavier hatchet-jobs, but this one started fronm the same premise as all the others.

Yep, Donna's 'bit' was one of the few positive portraits I've seen.

....perhaps if they watched the 'raped to death' scene in Greenaway's 'Baby of Macon' ?

I thought she and the filmmakers were saying she first got into porno because as an intelligent and university educated feminist and intellectual she wanted to make a statement about what she thought her version of feminism was and her strong beleif in women's rights to choose to appear in porn.

......as she claaimed in tbe interview on 'The Girlie Show'.
Unfortunately that was as devoid of intellectual content and consistency as the doc.

She is a mental case and was one even before making videos. She places herself in these situations. Look at how many porno actreses are also common prostitutes going off with strangers. Many such women are drawn to adult films all over the world.
