But the handbrake turn being done by newspapers, etc on the girl formally known as "racist Jade" reminds me of Private Eye's Lord Gnome after the overblown tart died.

IN recent weeks (not to mention the last ten years) we at the Daily Gnome, in common with all other newspapers, may have inadvertently conveyed the impression that the late Princess of Wales was in some way a neurotic, irresponsible and manipulative troublemaker who had repeatedly meddled in political matters that did not concern her and personally embarrassed Her Majesty The Queen by her Mediterranean love-romps with the son of a discredited Egyptian businessman.
We now realise as of Sunday morning that the Princess of Hearts was in fact the most saintly woman who has ever lived, who, with her charitable activities, brought hope and succour to hundreds and millions of people all over the world.
We would like to express our sincere and deepest hypocrisy to all our readers on this tragic day and hope and pray that they will carry on buying our paper notwithstanding.

No-one should have to die like this; and I feel very sorry for her children.

But she remains a racist chav whose raising to a secular sainthood tells you more about the morality, hypocrisy and attitudes of this country now than anything else.

Well... Thats one way of saying it.

Another would be Jade Goody is actually quite noble doing this and making millions for her children in the impending event of her passing.

As a parting gift from a mother I couldnt think of a more noble thing to do. I bet no one is thinking how brave she is getting on tv, dying of cancer and not looking her best and having to put on a brave face in front of all those Jade Goody haters. She knows they are in their legion all wanting to ridicule and rebuke her and in th eface of all that she is willing to endure.

Credit where credit is due. I had my criticisms of the girl but I'm quite happy to reverse my opinion as I wont kick anyone in the nuts who is on their knees already.

Its quite clear there are some who do.

What a nasty, bitter human being without one ounce of compassion who started this thread. Shame on you. She's working, doing a respectable job in media, having come from a deprived background, and made a huge success out of it. All credit to her. Who do you think you are to judge someone you don't even know in such a spiteful manner? And, someone who is dying a slow and painful death. It does reek of utter snobbery & self-importance to judge her as 'trashy'. Many middle-class people hate to see a working-class person be more economically sucessful than they are. I hope she makes as much money for her family as she can, and she's rasied public awareness of cancer, too. What have *you* done lately?

As much as I disliked her before, I have much sympathy for her plight now. On the other hand, this whole media circus around her redefines the word 'tasteless'. I think that ANY parent in that situation would want to make sure their kids were provided for.

But as things stand, she's not short of a few bob, is she? After all, she's made a fair old whack out of being "famous for being famous" over the past few years.

So even without this latest circus, her kids were never exactly going to be left struggling.

And as someone else said above, what's wrong with her pikey partner actually getting up off his bone-idle backside and doing and honest days' graft for a fair wage - like the rest of us have to?

Not sure who her "pikey" boyfriend is but I doubt if he had a normal job that it would be anyhting in comaprison to the returns of her more commercial outings.

...And yes I said I think its noble and stand by it. People who are up on here slagging her off prove one thing. Theres popularity in being hated.

The worse thing is probably not to be tlaked about so everyone here (including me) are contributing to the poularity of Jade Goody because there is no such thing as bad press if every ones gassing about you is there?

For every moan I hear a digit going ker-ching!
