You might also try Apple's Quicktime.WMP doesn't (per my Windows Troubleshooting mag) support the MOV format. Also, some stuff on the Web is set up for RealPlayer, another freebie, but pay attention when you install it to the queries; don't let it be your default player.Use the Customize menu. (I don't have either of these myself.)Spychecker lists the divx global as spyware, but the others are apparently OK.I don't have this either, just FYI.

How does a computer dunce like me get to learn what you are all talking about? Seriously. Should I get some books from the library (remember those things made out of paper-they were popular reference tools prior to the internet) or go on a course at my local college? Should I buy PC mags or would I not understand them? I honestly get baffled by a lot of this tech stuff but would like to learn more so any advice would be appreciated.

You got me thinking Magoo,as I'm also a dunce except I've got a computer.

Try a comprehensive listing of computer terminology and other assorted trivia

As I mentioned, I get most of my info from that mag--best 6 bucks I ever spent! But make no mistake, what I know about computers would rattle around in Barbie's thimble!
