Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
Re: Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
Utter bollocks.
Re: Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
Of course those who have their snought in the trough now and have been happily doing so since Labour came to power are NOT going to say VOTE TORY now are they ... now that 22k to be an alcopopping alcorichboy does sound quite good though - what are the hours like??
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
Re: Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
It makes little difference which shade of the political class is
nominally in charge- we'll still get too much of OUR money highjacked
and subsequently wasted, and suffer overweening intrusion into our
private lives under the guise of 'protecting' us, either from ourselves
or some numinous external threat.
Most voters now feel effectively disenfranchised from our notional
'democracy', and as long as the fraud continues where only a few
thousand swing voters decide the result and provide the electoral
fig-leaf of a popular 'mandate' nothing will change- except for the
worse.
When I look at both cabinets together I'm irresistibly reminded of
the scene in Orwell's 'Animal Farm' where the animals, looking into
the farmhouse at the pigs and the farmers, suddenly realise that
they can no longer tell them apart. The phrase 'political class' really
gives the game away- they no longer have any loyalty to anyone but
themselves- and the massive gulf between their words and their actions
every day demonstrates this.

Re: Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
"I was chatting to a high up executive from a very well known accountants and he said the following:
"The last thing the UK needs now is a change of government, after 12 years of Labour rule, with the massive explosion and changes to society, tax, benefits, imigration and law, the country does not need another 10 years of the tories changing it all back again to a low tax small government setup."
Yeah right, ask him how he feels now the drugs have worn off.

Re: Vote Labour ...for the sake of the country !
But the real question is ...
would the voters want to go back to all the hardships before.....and would the public be pleased to see 100,000 plus public sector people out of work ???.....even if the jobs did were not that popular i.e. head of diversity at a local council salary ?85,000 !!!! I'm not so sure....
You cut the public sector now after all these years and the country would go down hill so fast!
the only way forward is to invest more in public sector jobs !
