I'm pretty sure Carragher was an Evertonian too.

Tevez was just a hairband on legs! I can run around for 90 miniutes (just!!). If you look at the official Opta stats you'll see he actually did precious little else. At least Owen knows where the onion bag is and he also knows how to bulge it!

The only question i have for Fergie is , What the hell was Veron all about ? probably not the biggest mistake of a transfer in english football , but surely it must be up there ? If i were a betting man , which i'm not , i'd bet Owen scores more than Berbatov , he's done a "Harry Kewell" looked shit-hot at one club then move and look absolute garbage , he looks almost disinterested at utd when i've seen him play .

Not sure where you are getting the blighted by injuries for the last couple of years idea jbomz3??
Here is his Premier League Injury List:
looks like every couple of months he has picked up some sort of ailment "that has kept him off work" and some of them have been pretty serious as we all know.
Any United fans trying to fool themselves that they are going to get a good deal out of this should take a look at the list .... just hope they are paying him on a "Pay as you Play" deal for their sakes.

So it goes back longer than a couple of years then ? I'm not a newcastle or liverpool fan so i wouldn't actually keep a record of when he's played or injured . I'm not a man utd fan neither , but i think Owen is a decent player , and the fact the piss-taking italian that the FA want as England manager as been over looking him some what , if it wasn't for injuries i'm fairly certain Owen would nearer the leading scorer by now , you think not ?

Agree; like Solskjaer, bring the lad on at -10 and change the game-
assuming he's fit enough to run rather than just sit as a target-man...
and if it don't work out it's cost Fergie exactly zero.

Is this Fergie building for the future though? And does Owen honestly have the very high team skills one would expect of a United player?
It all looks rather short term to me.
Their new shirt's a shocker as well.
