Yep; usually straight after a hot spell.
In NW London recently there were some the size of golf-balls.
But Mrs JJ, in SW London, had no storm at all.

Hi JR Pornstar,
Did basic meteorology as part of a gliding course in the ATC 47 years ago. Have had a lifelong interest in aviation and though I haven't flown an aircraft in many years, thousands of hours as a passenger and as an observer on flight decks has encouraged a keen interest in the weather.

After she tried to stab me for about the tenth time during Rag
Week, we agreed to put a bit of distance between me and her
temper.
The rest of the month, she's pretty placid, unless you're a
judge on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

I've listened to the Shipping Forecast for 20 years and now
understand about half of it : -((
Mind you, I do miss 'Trafalgar'. Bloody French.....
