Comparing Blair to Hitler is a bit harsh isnt it,if you are going to compare any modern day leader to Hitler surely it was Thatcher for the sheer damage she caused.

sam, a lot of the stuff about Saddam "using WMD's on his own people" has been grossly misreported and politically spun by the USA, and by the USA's lackey Tony Blair. Saddam used those against the Kurds with the entire support of the Americans, in the days when Saddam was America's friend and America was arming him. Also "his own people" isn't quite as clear cut as that. Iraq was artifically create by Britain, just like Nigeria and Zimbabwe (Rhodesia as it was then called) were aswell. Imagine if, after World War 2, France, Germany, and Poland became one country, and many years later someone from Brittany (in what used to be called France) wiped out a load of people in what used to be Poland (with full support from the USA and Britain by the way) - the notion that that person used them "on his own people" would be ridiculous.

Firstly, I never mentioned him using WMDs against his 'own people' in my post. I mentioned his elimination of 'opposition' and 'family' [who didn't play ball]. However, I would still use the term 'his people' in that he was responsible for their welfare, regardless of political differences. Just like the Tibetans are not Chinese people, the Chinese are responsible for the Tibetans while ever they are ruling them. His people or not it was fucking genocide!
Saddam used those against the Kurds with the entire support of the Americans, in the days when Saddam was America's friend and America was arming him.
Are you sure? America -and most of Europe- supported Saddam's regime in the years leading up to the Iran/Iraq war. The genocide of the Kurds was different. To our, and America's discredit, we turned a blind eye to those poor people but I wouldn't call it 'support' when it came to gassing the Kurds.

The rest of your post about France and Poland being one big nation is answered by my first point regarding responsibility and so I refer you back to that.

They were, and ignored it, just as Thatcher ignored Carrington's
advice.

Two wrongs, no rights, eh?
