Ha ha ha , Hej this is the start for speed, power und heavy consistent traditional metal . I know judas priest started in 73 und their one of my favourites . I like u.f.o. , foghat , rainbow etc....... For consistent metal i would still say 79 through 89 . One of my favourite bands is saxon .

I'll agree the seventies were great and it was good to see the eighties being reassed of recent.
But I may opt for the nineties.
The worst decade, btw, is surely this one we're about to finish. What a bloody wash-out.

I agree with you last word about this decade of the talentless . The shame of it is that it is just going to get worse . To you wigbilly , i have high respect for biff byford und udo dirkschneider . They keep making great musik und they never sold out .

1965 was the best year ever...more memorable tunes than any other...64 to 73 was the finest decade.
