I agree with you on this Max. thing is this religion stuff is like invasion of the body snatchers. people are so entrenched into their beleif that if you ask them if it wasnt for your parents or some influence that told you about J C (You know who Im talking about) would you have beleived him

The answer to that is no. they would have been none the wiser.

I agree, they shouldnt make it part of the schools curriculum either but what can you do?

Religion is here to stay like death and taxes

This reminds me of a Benny Hill sketch where he talked about a guy who sold everything he owned so that he could tour the world and spread the word that the world would end in 1958....and for him, it did!

This world is full of cranks. Not only the people who are waiting to meet Jesus Christ walking down their local street but also these 'end of the world is nigh' merchants.

On this issue of Jesus returing to earth, is it thought (by those who believe these things) that he will just appear as an adult and know he is Jesus Christ and have all the powers that Jesus Mk 1 did? Or it he likely to just be born again, in other words appear as a new born baby? That seems to be more likely the scenario that the believers believe. When you consider that a new born baby has no idea who they are, they grow up with the name and the environment they are given from birth, then how could the 'new Jesus' even know he is him?

I could be the second Jesus for all I know, but I was given another name at birth and grew up in a semi in a city. Any of us could be the second Jesus, the only people on this earth who could be sure they are not the new Jesus are girls and women - on account of their gender. Those waiting for the Second Coming really haven't thought this through, have they...

By the way the woman in the 1800's who convinced loads of people she was going to be giving birth to the Second Coming was called Joanna Southcott. She is buried in the graveyard next to Lords Cricket Ground in London. There is even a road nearby named after her.

Potty is putting it mildly. A real tin foil hat job.

Well, if this helps in any way to find your true self, Max, I do exclaim 'Jesus Christ' a lot after reading most of your posts. It's usually accompanied by a large sigh or a rolling of the eyes.

Funny isn't it?

I notice you still call me 'Max' though. 'JC' has a nice ring to it...

You could throw a blanket over all the religious experts out there that see something different from the same written passages

You'd get a clearer picture of what might happen in the future from reading nostradamus and his predictions than listening to the so called expert scholars
