It is my belief that anything said in favour of any political party besides the one you obviously support will result in a reply containing nothing but links to statements supporting your views. If I had the time (I don't, or to be honest ,the inclination) to root out everything good the conservative government did,I'm sure you would find faults in them all. So what's the point ?
Every body is entitled to their views but I'm happy to say my views differ from yours.

To summarise then - I am prepared to explain/defend my political views, you seemingly are not. That's your prerogative. Just don't expect anybody to take your views seriously.

I did go on to say that everybody is entitled to their views. I didn't realise that in this country of free speech, I had to defend them. But then again knowing the side you support I will be fingerprinted,retina scanned, dna tested, and god knows what else if if they should win (joke) the next election, before I can post on a forum.

I'm not that politically minded but I do have an idea who I'll vote for in the next election and I don't spout on about what good they have done/will do. I hope you are proud of the state the country is in and I hope one day you may have the chance to explain your point of view to the mothers' of some of the soldiers who are fighting an Illegal war that this government brought us into.

back to the original topic- i've no objection to anyone wanting to travel first class- as long as they claim for economy and fund the difference themselves.

They are public servants after all and all public servants should be subject to what is known as "government rates". this is a rate set out for bog standard civil servants- standard train travel/ car hire. set hotel rates at specified hotels. a set amount of money per day towards meals when you are away from home. but that's a different topic again.

but back to the trains, it would be good for them to see now and again what everyone else has to put up with- walk a mile in our shoes as it were.

lets face it- unless they are prominent faces or have been on the tv news for fiddling expenses- who would actually recognise their mp?

No and I have never suggested that. Some will read the links. Others will not. I am purely explaining why I believe what I do.

This is incorrect nonsense. Many times on this forum I have stated that I believe that Blair is a war criminal and should be charged in the Hague. You are accusing me of something I have never stated I was in favour of.

This is yet more incorrect nonsense. I have put in previous messages that the Labour Party could have done a hell of a lot more to reduce the inequality in society; they have made big mistakes over immigration and they should be hitting the banks harder in tax terms etc. etc. Their biggest mistake was the war in Iraq.

As to the voting that's up to you,I will be voting for any party I chose and as I understand it, it's even legal to vote for the BNP, Conservative and SNP.
