Not a great fan of gonzo myself, but I do like some of Ben Dover's stuff. At least he does give a bit of build up to the scenario, even if it is a bit contrived & convoluted.
My favourite for that is the scene where he and Mario pick up the gorgeous Jade Newman and end up shagging her senseless - at one point Ben even reminds Mario to 'try and remember the plot'!

Just a small point. The budgets are no longer there to produce such plots as many of these the acting parts were filmed on seperate days.
Along with the extra criteria which is now part of any production deal, cuts the time down that makes it very hard to make everyone happy.
Hopefully the fact that it is a wank flick if the sex is good enough the film will do it's job.
We should count ourselves lucky in these tough times there are still a few big companies still comissioning.

When I was younger, I had a job with a duplication company and was tasked with dubbing hundreds of adult films to various videotape formats. I viewed a lot of the classics from the days of yore; from plot-heavy 70?s greats like 'The Devil in Miss Jones' and 'Debbie Does Dallas' to farcical, gimmicky 80?s porn that spoofed everything from Star Trek to The Coneheads.
Plots and gimmicks are two aspects of adult films that I, as an avid viewer, have frankly learned to despise. I understand that many individuals of a certain age feel a degree of nostalgia for those classics, but I watch porn because I want to see hot people fucking each other like mad. I want to be turned on, not entertained. If I desire story-oriented media, I?ll watch a good TV show or step out to see the latest Hollywood blockbuster.
A quality adult film, in my opinion, is all about the casting. Finding women who not only love sex, but who also know how to show viewers how much they love it. I have seen so many adult videos where the actress just doesn?t have ?it?. She goes through the motions and executes the acrobatics, sure, but I never believe that she?s really into the experience. It?s hard to define what makes a Sasha Grey or a Bree Olson, but it has a lot to do with their ability to connect with the viewer and convince us that this wish-fulfillment fantasy we?re watching is genuine.
There?s a reason why many of these actresses have such a devoted following. We?re not just looking for a good looking piece of flesh when we watch porn. The best adult film actresses, in my opinion, are able to make a sympathetic connection with their male viewers. They understand the male psyche and they know how to appeal to it on a psychological level. Such an actress is uncommon, but when one is discovered it?s a wonderful thing.
So, why don?t you guys leave the plots back in the 80?s where they belong and go find me more of those exceptional women to fall in love with!
