All I can say is thank god the BBC is advert-free. I hope the day never comes when there are adverts on the BBC, let's keep the licence fee forever and avoid having to be subjected to commercials. Although, there is the 'mute' button on the remote for those who can't stand them!

I can't stand the Michael Winner Esure adverts or going back the Tesco Mother (Prunella Scales) and daughter (Jane Horrocks) ones either.

From the advertisers point of view they all worked because sadly we remember them.
