Yes, be very careful.
I remember well the Shims in Bugis St in Singapore.
The really good looking well dressed ones were queers. The dull ugly ones were fucked out tarts who were no longer good for the bars or brothels.
One night pissed out of my brain I chatted one of the shims up and nearly went off with it, but, some matelots at the next table took me under their care and wouldn't let me go with the beautiful light of my life. Well it was then at 2am. I have had a soft spot for the RN ever since. 44years later, thanks fellas.
