Written by Tom Sharpe ( "Porter House Blue" , "Blott on the Landscape"....)lauded by Stephen King as THE funniest writer of English language ,"Riotous Assembly" sees a white SA Woman trying to convince the police she has murdered her black cook...The white police chief,convinced his wife has been playing around ,rounds up all the local black men for some aversion therapy so as to dissuade THEM form ever entertaining her-electrode to testicles style!..The only problem being ,the guy in charge of the slides being shown ( White women=electric shock and excruciating pain ..But naked Black women=No shock,no pain) has included some slides of his holiday,including his wife and teenage daughter! .......... This book was banned in SA,it was so "incorect"....Its wrong on many many levels but it is deliciously written and absolutely hilarious........How Carte Blanche must have HATED Tom Sharpe!!..it comes highly recommended...In all good bookshops,or online,etc..

Carte Blanche would hate most artists because artists are (or should be) about curiosity, inquiry and open mindedness. Carte Blanche was a man with steadfast fixed views .. what an effort it must take to tune out any view which challenges and cobtradicts your own. No wonder he never looked comfortable in his own skin.

Did you see that Louix Theroux programme ... I love the way he kinda bumbles along,Clouseau like,when all the while he knows exactly what he`s doing until he can POUNCE when their guard is down.... He proper wound Carte up to the point he refused to speak to him!furious!
