"The prime minister added: "Anyway, I hope I can count on your vote next Thursday and who knows, maybe you'll die shortly afterwards and do us all a favour. Fuck you."
Brilliant!

I just chatted to Gordon Brown about violent crime in my area; he told me to pipe down and head-butted me right between the eyes. That Gillian Duffy got off lightly!
Also, breaking press reports...Gordon Brown crucified for "calling a spade a spade" (see reports on pages 2-99 of tomorrow's tabloids, with a full-colour 10 page "Hate-Monger" pull out in the Sun).

Like it or not she does have a point.
One of the big issues in this campaign has been largely ignored. Namely the economic migration from eastern european countries to the UK (and elsewhere), which puts massive pressure on health services, social services, housing etc.
Brown can talk all he likes about British people moving into the EU as well as others coming here, but the Brits aren't moving abroad to live off the benefits system or try to get a nice house off the social sector. In the city where I live, there are camps of east european migrants with no work down on the river. They don't work, they don't have a great deal of money and they're living off the local wildlife. We have a big problem with them massacring ducks and swans, netting and clubbing them, and nobody cares much.
Now the last time I mentioned this on here, about three years ago at a guess, I was dismissed for falling for a BNP myth, but I am going to mention it again because it IS happening, and I'm not going to listen to someone who doesn't live where I live talk out of their PC arse. I live here, I KNOW what is happening in my own city.
There's a housing problem here, with a waiting list of 7000. The housing queue is at its worst since WW2. There's a ?7m hole in the health budget and a ?5m hole in the services budget caused by thousands of migrants.
Dismiss the problem if you like and call it bigotry or myth, but if you lived in an area that had been swamped by migrants, you might think differently. Imported poverty. That's what these people, on the whole, represent. And government can use statistics all it like to "prove" there's not a problem, but people's every day experiences are what shapes the way they think, not some sheet of paper with numbers on it.
Sure, on the surface what she said was bigoted. But there's a problem nobody wants to address and hopefully she has at least done some good by bringing it to the attention of the press. It's interesting how people have been lining up to come on the news and claim she said nothing wrong today, don't you think?

He should have belted her like Prescott did with that mullet wearing oik who threw an egg at him.
He was rightly lauded for that.....and rightfully so!
Maybe if Gordon did that, he'd win a few more votes!
Seriously, I hate the bloke, but feel he's been stitched up like a kipper on this one

I think this is fair comment. One of the biggest mistakes the Labour government made was to totally underestimate either genuinely or on purpose the number of Polish migrants arriving in the UK.
I can remember a figure of 30,000 being banded about whereas over a 1 million have entered the UK which obviously puts great pressure on services in certain parts of the country as you mention. What the British government should have done was take advantage of the interim period in which EU countries could limit the number of Poles able to enter the country.
Having said that I am sure there are many parts of Spain like the Canary Islands where Spanish people complain about the million or so British people putting pressure on the health services, job availability etc for the locals.
It seems inevitable that as the poorer countries of Europe join the EU they will seek to go to the richer countries in large numbers, particularly somewhere like the UK where they may have a familiarity with the language. I think the EU needs to have some debate as to whether there should be limits placed on numbers moving between countries to settle to try and reduce the strain placed on services.
Cheers

One of his biographers on News 24 last night said that, "Gordon Brown hates the English and especially hates the English working class." It'll be great to see him and all the other fucking Scots, that lord it over us, thrown out of power and bussed back up to Scotland where maybe they can join the SNP.

Yeah right. That's why the Labour government introduced the minimum wage so the English working class could more easily drink themselves to death.

Send 'em packing! Free University tuition for Scots says it all. The poor English kids leave with an average ?20,000 loan to pay off.
This government is falling into a typical Stalinist style dictatorship, with their ID cards, CCTV and general nannying and lecturing to us all. Blair was a warmonger and moneygrabber and Brown is a nasty bully.
Pandering to the fucking bankers and the City, so called "Socialists" that after 13 years still allow the mega rich to avoid ?billions in tax and our bailed out banks to pay their scumbag bosses ?millions of our money in bonuses. Also allowing every other institution to queue up and screw us all for every penny they can get.
Bastard Blair symbolises the whole party in one image, his slogan should be "Every little helps" as he trousers, is it ?20 million since he left?.................New "Labour?"..... what a joke!
That old battleaxe has buried Brown and the rest of the Labour Party and good riddance to the lot of them! Let 'em rot!
Ha! Ha! Ha! and a Double Ha! Ha!

First, the Scottish Government which is not controlled by Westminster is responsible for Scottish education. Nothing to do with Brown. So no preference for the Scots from Brown here. That's the point I hear you say.
However, the Tory Toffs who you seem to prefer to Labour have made no commitment to scrap tuition fees.
And as for the Blessed Cleggie (the Jedward of the 2010 election) who probably is still surrounded by the warm glow of being on the MEP gravy train in Brussels and trousering a 300K profit from the sale of his house there whilst taking advantage of the very generous accommodation expenses from the EU parliament, he's a bit more favourable at face value to student fees.
The devil is in the small print though. The Lib Dems commit to:
"Phase out university tuition fees within six years. Scrap fees for final-year students immediately. Scrap target of 50% of people going to university [England only] "
I suppose it is a lot easier to phase out tuition fees if you have so many less people being able to go to university, don't you think?
