VLC. media player, plays almost anything.

I tried everything and I do mean everything and it looks like VLC was the answer.
The other player worked but without sound and now with VLC it's working.
Thanks everyone, us computer numpties need all the help we can get a times.
Wish some of you could persuade Microsoft to use BGAFD speak instead of the computer blah blah's they use.
