Yes, very sad, but a good innings.
Up there with Laurel & Hardy as my comedy heroes.

Re: Norman Wisdom RIP
I thought his 'comedy' films were about as funny as toothache.
Re: Norman Wisdom RIP
A real Genius & a British legend, its sad to see him go. Even though he lived to 95 you wish he could be around forever but we will be left with his brilliant films to remember him by.

Re: Norman Wisdom RIP
Sad to think he`s gone.....and with him a whole era of British Cinema
and great performers.....his brilliant straight man, Jerry Desmonde
(who committed suicide) and scores of great actors, from Edward
Chapman ( best recalled as the long-suffering "Mr Grimsdale") to
Esma Cannon ( Watch her fill her tea cup to overflowing with lumps
of sugar while Norman warbles "Don`t Laugh At Me `Cos I`m A Fool"
in his first movie, great comic timing). Ah, those were the days !
I wouldn`t give a rat`s arse for today`s generation of Brit TV comedians.

not everybody's cup of tea as confirmed by a few comments on here, I often thought his act was always the same but I think you'd have to say he was talented compared to some of today's rubbish. Also played the piano and not widely remembered that he was a decent proper actor, he won 2 BAFTA's.
