The difference is probably to do with the way that discounts are covered by the law. I used to work for Dixons(long time ago). At the end of Nov every year some of the prices used to double. Then low & behold in Jan they would have huge 'Half price' signs on them, but all they would be doing is returning it to it's original price. The law says they must have been offered at a higher price for 28 days. Does'nt say anything about whether it can be an artificially inflated price. So that item was probably ?150 a month ago and will be 'Half price' again next month.
