Don't forget that this bastard funded the fucking IRA during their fucking war. A lot of my comrades and a couple of friends died at their fucking hands. Gaddaffiduck, string the bastard up by his fucking balls and leave him to die of thirst.

It can be argued that the other side of the Med IS our (UK and Europe's) back yard. If nothing else, a stable, prosperous and democratic North Africa would be good for trade and hopefully reduce the causes of mass-migration from that area.

Stable through savage repression. And its prosperity didn't trickle down to the mass of the population who suffered unemployment as high as 30% throughout the noughties.
