Sadly all the offies, including those in the provinces, are belled up after you first put your zimmer frame through the window, word gets about in that trade just as quick as this one.

Personally I rarely eat as drink provides all the necessary calories. As my doctor will attest (he made me count) I average 200-250 units of alkiehol a week, so food is not required. However, this makes a valid point. There should be rules for this drinks challenge - eg people can eat what they want beforehand (even down milk thistle pills - cheating though that is) but once battle commences no food is allowed - except chewing gum - and all drinking should be totted up in units. Fact is if you are both drinking shorts you're not drinking an awful lot - an average pint of cider has the same amount of alcohol as FOUR shots of vodka/whiskey. As a self-confessed full on drunkyard and connoiseur, I would be happy to referee this contest (particularly if Rebekah's notion of cheating involves sexing up the ref). Ta x

Sounds like a great idea.
One pint of whatever is your favourite every five minutes until you drop.
I once watched a similar contest between our Contiki Bus Driver
aged 50 and a petite female of the Queensland variety aged 20,same height & weight strangely enough.
At 2 a.m. they started the challenge of drinking every variety of schnapps on offer.I believe 20 shots was the number, consumed in 1 hour.He won hands down....drove the bus at 6 a.m with a blood alcohol reading of .35,or so the machine said....she spent three days in a proverbial coma only coming out to occasionally puke....she was also a banker, who have the reputation of being alcoholics....disgraceful performance by anyones standards.
cheers

The sayings true, real life is stranger than fiction
If you ever go on a Bus tour and a Short(5ft 5) American named Todd is your driver...be afraid......be very afraid.
The motto of the story......don't take on a seasoned drinker regardless of your sex or weight.
You strange Magoo...never....its just the smell of woodchips in the air...will soon pass
