I cannot see fourth being achievable in present form. The chances of all the above six teams having a meltdown and Man U winning every match is not going to happen. The law of averages would suggest they were due a bad season. In Italy AC Milan are 11th which doesn't seam feasible for such a huge club.

You're very confused. Man Utd are currently 7th. To finish 4th they would need to move up 3 places. That means overtaking 3 clubs, not 6 clubs as you stated.

If you agree to pay ?300k a week for Rooney then you have lost the plot. He is nowhere near the best player in the PL never mind Europe. Sell him to Chelsea and buy 3 fit players who actually want to play for Man U. Typical lazy money grabbing Scouser.
