"I don't see where Robches did claim that Britons have never committed a crime abroad. Can you point out where he says that?"

Robches declined to point out goody two shoes Brits never commit any crime abroad. I wonder why?

"He could also have added that foreigners who commit a crime here get a much easier time than the Britons who commit crimes abroad."

That's not the foreigners fault is it. It's our government who are er... British. If anyone goes to any country and they commit crime they should face the music. Human rights (within reason) should not exist for any foreign criminals (including British ones).

Why would he? the thread isn't about Brits abroad (goody two shoes or otherwise).

the OP was commenting on how he thinks London has changed in recent years, and not wishing to second guess robches it seems to me that he puts that partly down to an influx of foreign criminals as a result of mass immigration (correct me if I'm wrong robches).

If you want to start your own thread about Brits committing crimes abroad, feel free.

Whatever you do, don't go to Bury St. Edmunds. It wasn't called "Bury" for nothing. Like downtown Bronx.

In the United Arab Emirates, the population of UAE nationals is only about 5 times that of British people there.

You wouldn't believe how much the UAE is similar to Britain. Churches everywhere. The British Bulldog pub name all over the place. Legless people staggering all over the place in the evening.

At first I thought I was in Dagenham or Bury St. Edmunds.

Just goes to prove your point, Robches. The more people you get from a particular country coming into another country, the more that country is defined by the expats.

The UAE isn't a very good comparison David. Brit enclaves on the Spanish costas however are.

David:

You might find that the UAE authorities believe that the UAE is their country, and foreigners have to behave by their rules. Try opening a church or a bar there if you like, it may not be absolutely forbidden as it is in Saudi Arabia, but you will have to do it on their terms. And there is no chance of the foreign guest workers becoming citizens either, that is not something the UAE will allow, for obvious reasons.
