Course when you get a yes vote for independence each Scottish person will get served porridge in a gold dessert bowl on a velvet cushion by vestal virgins sashaying down the streets paved with gold. Based on the huge oil wealth, each Scotsman will have a racing camel and several wives.

Or maybe it won't turn out quite like that...............

You forgot the Lear Jet and Aston Martin DJ......McSalmond was in Carlisle this week meeting local businesses who trade across the border and he went down like a slow puncture, only with less charisma.

I will leave you to argue the toss about that with Fat Mick. I'm just a southern namby pampy who has milk in his porridge.

"It is neither grey nor sludge, not if it's made properly. Perhaps you might want to try some before you pass judgement, or do you just stick to a "sausage sarnie" and a mug of "cha"?."

I have tried the stuff many times, beginning in school and on various trips to Scotland fishing.

As for what I would stick to? You have me wrong there, old boy. I would stick to smoked salmon and very creamy scrambled eggs washed down with Blue Mountain coffee.

"I have tried the stuff many times"

If you did not like it the first time then why do it again?. Are you stupid?.

Because every time I've been foolish enough to listen to people that say "Ah but you haven't tried the way I make it" In school there was no option if you wanted anything for breakfast.

When I say many, it just seems like a lot, but less than five times since I was 18 which was 40 years ago. Is that enough for me to have my own opinion on it? Do I need to try it more or less to satisfy you that I don't like it?
