Certainly one may.
About 500yards up the road from where I am now.
Knowing of me as you do, do you seriously think I would leave my manor without my overall protection and - above all- wisdom?
Where would I be without Church St. Market, and most importantly of all -my Personal Hairdresser!!!

Melancholy is not a bad thing. I often feel that way when I pass places from my past. Its something that feels sad but is actually quite pleasant in a funny sort of way. Look on the bright side Marcus you might be next door to an off licence in your new place. New beginings and all that.

The Chairman is too young to worry about such domestic upheaval but middle aged cats (or dogs) can get very distressed at the sight of packed boxes.

Every home holds precious memories but its the brain that contains them not the building. Any move is stressfull but its the final move into an underground pine bungalow with a screwed down lid that is the one that scares me. Sorry thats morbid. Halfway through a bottle of Bush Mills I am so that accounts for the morbid thoughts.

"Parting with friends is a sadness: a place is just a place" (Frank Herbert, I think).

I used to buy all my jeans in Church Street.
Is that ice-cream parlour still there in Edgware Rd, just down the road from the market?

Sorry Marcus,

Had to stop off and deal with some pesky forumites, then, would you credit, it my e-mail wouldn't work! So I had to swap computors, but it should be there now.

Officer Dibble.

Who were these "pesky forumites" then Dibble?

Future customers perchance? I like your use of language and your humour Dibble but I am perplexed at your dismissive attitude towards your customers. Having said that I also hate most of my clients because they are moaning bastards who dont appreciate how hard I have worked and how little I get paid. BUT (and its a big but).....If I were in the retail trade I would not go and slag my potential customers off and drive them to buy from less reputable filthmeisters.

Sorry Officer. Please dont hit me again with that truncheon.

I think this thread was the wrong place for me to start moaning about your lack of progress Dibble. Thanks for your advice on the computer thread. And if you are looking to fit someone up I suggest that bunch of cats who have been giving you the run-around are well overdue for a nicking. And dont give the little bastards bail because they keep killing the wrens nesting in my bush. And as you may not be aware my bush is protected by the National Trust as are the creatures which inhabit it.

Now can you run along and make some progress on the Angels stuff? Theres a good chap. And send some nice tea down to cell 22 please. Coffee for 23 as Lizards in there. Pure Scotch for 24 as Marcus is in temporarily while his cat organises the move. Oh yeah I forgot champagne and caviar in 25 and a four poster bed cos Uncle Bens in on an unpaid parking fine (he parked twelve of his cars on Ken High St), and last but not least leave a few cans in the fingerprint room because I am always thirsty upon release.

Now can I make a phone call please?

Magoo (always harrassing his local bobby)

Nothing for JJ or Buttsie though Dibble. They never get involved in such silliness so are not resident at Dibble Towers this evening. I want my phone call Dibble!

Three Cheers for Marcus..HIP,HIP....
May he settle in nicely, what about a flat warming...
I've been in this latter flat many times over the years I've know Marcus, and even Im sad of his departure...it has many memories...including girls and get-togethers.(for me also)
As they say,all good things come to an end sometimes...let us hope the new place will have happy memories for him like the last one.Amen.
TheProf.

If you have wrens nesting in your bush, I'd see a doctor pronto.
They have medications for such things.
