Don't have time for comprehensive comment on the nitty gritty of your respective posts guys - as I feel the call of the Sandman - suffice to say I will confess it's been a while since I actually looked at a top shelf mag so I grant that I may be missing something.

Not suggesting that every single 'model' nowadays is unprofessional and doesn?t have a clue. Of course that can't be the case, but I'm sure all in the know can agree that things have moved in a negative direction in the past decade.

Some of the models you mentioned Tel are on my wish-list for Video Angels and maybe HCC - they have not gone unnoticed. Indeed the lovely Kellemarie (who looks like a Playboy cover girl through my camera lens. Could do some real arty stuff with her...) called me the other day to remind me of her telephone number! (I'll get back to you very soon babe.)

I know the Officer can sound like the voice of doom all to often - "Woe, woe and thrice woe! - But some one has to sound the alarm when things look bleak.

By the way Tel, have you sorted me any pictures out? - was hoping to deal with 'your bit' over the weekend.

Kyla Cole is actually a Czech...real name Martina Jacova and boy is she a stunner

Would be interesting to see what state the mag business would be in today if the Berlin Wall was still standing....given that every mag seems to have a high proportion of Eastern European Model/Pornstars.

I could name 20 off the top of my head without even trying

For me too, the eighties was the best of times for models/pornstars. In the States you had Traci, Ginger, Amber and a host of other gorgeous willing beauties. In Europe there were wonders like Marilyn Jess and Bridgitte Lahai ( apologies for the spelling) and of course we were spoilt for choice with Linzi, Maria and the gang. These beauties I first saw in mags and raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels, so when I saw them doing there thing on film well...that'll be too much information! I reckon it's something to do with the age you're at when you 'get into' porn. For me, my twenties were the age that I really began to indulge myself with as much 'material' as I could get hold of and to this day, it's the girls of that time which have stayed with me (oh how I wish). There are of course many srummy things around giving pleasure to millions but........ Iv'e strayed a tad I know..my apologies.

i am a score group magazine model and i think the american magazines are still very popular.I cant speak for uk mags because i do not model for them.I know lots of people who still buy porn mags.Anyway its sometimes cheaper to buy a magazine than sign up to a website but thats just my opinion.

We sell back issues of magazines for a living and both our retail outlets have experienced greater demand for "adult titles" over the last couple of years.Internet business is also good. The most popular titles are Mayfair and Playboy and the period of greatest interest is late 1970's to mid 80's."Glamour" rather than hardcore porn seems to be what people want when it comes to magazines.

Ah yes, the golden age of glamour. I too used to be a Mayfair collector and I've still got some classic issues of Penthouse (A 16 year old Linda Lusardi coyly displaying her bush!) And 'Club' with a similarly youthful Debbie Ashby showing her snatch though transparent black knickers, hmm, mmm, sublime. I find this kind of imagery infinitely more erotic and stimulating than a container load of "Extreme Ass-Reaming, Shaved Cyber Slut Gapers - Part Umpteen" type videos.

I don't begrudge anybody their gonzo, if that's what they really like, but there should be an alternative for those who think it's awful, which I?d wager is the silent majority.

Thank you for speaking for the silent majority officer

Before the over saturation of pics on the internet
i use to salivate over any shoots of Gail Mckenna
which were a rarity for some reason

Well shot Glamour Softcore will beat h/c anyday in my view...because it leaves something to the imagination

cheers
