Lasse Braun did some quite good American films in the 80s, like American Desire and Flasher, but the European features of his that spring to mind are Sensations and Body Love (these four on Caballero DVD), plus also Sex Maniacs which is a series of edited loops shot in Britain in the late 70s with some linking footage involving the same performers. Sin Dreamer (also loops shot in Britain) was made in a similar way, but has more of a coherent theme to it, and the editing of the loops is a bit more drastic. His filmography is complicated by the false use of his name as director in Mike Hunter releases like Love Orgy (not to mention the false use of the name Mike Hunter as director for footage shot by Lasse Braun, as in Sex Maniacs).

The only British 70s feature shot with hardcore scenes for export versions which seems to have survived is Diversions aka Sex Express where the American release (Alpha Blue Archives DVD) retains the fake gory bits but cuts the fake pissing, and the Mike Hunter release (not yet on DVD), cuts the gory bit, but leaves in the simulated pissing. It's really a series of vignettes, and not really to be compared with the best of the period, though interesting.

mulholand, thanx for the info, but about the turkish production, I think that most of the stuff is soft. It would be a surprise to discover that 80% of the production of movies, in any country, is porn. And that the production in Turkey was double the one in France. Of course, I don't know anything about the subject. Still I think it is quite improbable. Probably Tombs dubbed porn what is soft-core.

About swiss porn of course I was thinking about Dietrich. In Holland there were some movies we have debated already here like 'n schot in de roos.

As to whether Zerrin Egeliler did full porn is out of my knowledge. According to Tombs, she seems to. But, as Mark suggested, Tombs might have used the phrase porn for what is really soft-core.

Does anyone know more on Turkish adult cinema of the late 70's, and also a good internet resource, prefereably selling non-pirate DVDs (if they exist at all)?

Denaniel, you certainly deserve great credit for raising this topic, which has provided the most interesting thread on this forum for a long time. It is to be hoped that some of those classics mentioned by Alec, Beutelwolf and Mulholand which still exist but as yet have not been transferred to dvd, will be, particularly given the paucity of good quality porn being produced today!

Anyway I think it is rather improbable that a turkish porn production, even of small proportions, may have developed without any item (as far as I know) trickling abroad. There were some italian-turkish coproductions between the '70's and '80s, but the porn scenes were shot later in Italy or were just outright inserts.

BTW, I'd like to ask all where brasilian porn fits (if it does) into this.
