I find it usually goes down on Sun nites- presuably maintenance/updates; but
this was longer than normal and started on Sat.

We experienced a vicious ddos attack a couple of months ago and things haven't been 100% since.

There is no actual basis in IAFD going down on any given day or night of the week more so than on others. Maintenance/updates are being performed on a continuous basis. The only thing that might explain the possible troublesome nature of Sundays and Saturdays is the fact that we attract more visitors at those days.

This weekend, the router seemed to have broken down, of course at a time when Jeff was out of town. But access has been bad all week already and -- at least at my end -- things have only marginally been better since Jeff got us up and running again. Jeff will finally (have to) spend some money and replace the server. I believe he will try to get this done before the end of the year.
