It's the same question in Italy. It's the nickname my friends gave me when I was young. I added here two x's. I never liked Tex Willer, too boring.

If you are bored with that ranger, what about some Miki?
We used to read this one when we were kids but I wonder what will today's parents say if they see a bright young boy hanging around with two alcoholic elderly losers presented to their little ones as an ideal role model. !grin!

Miki is Capitan Miki? I didn't use to read it. I remember Capitan Mark.
Amongst Bonelli's books I used to read Mister No, Nick Raider, and lastly Dylan Dog, maybe the best. Now I like mangas.

A Scottish role-model, and one of my personal heroes:

Re: Perla Mazza
jj, it was Miki not the heaps who were presented as a role model. You misquote my words to justify your cause.
Texxx, I don't know any ranger named Miki other than Capitan Miki.
Mark had a considerable following but Blek was more popular here.

Among Western fumetti, Ken Parker is the most popular one, given that comics are read only by adults today. Tex Willer or (to a much lesser extent) Kinowa may also be of preference.

You should know by now I'll do anything for a laugh
Don't be so pompous
The rest of your cultural references went straight over my head,
and hit the wall
A timely reminder of the positively abyssal depths of my ignorance.
