Its always old with those website types

At last count I think DDF had about 5-10 spin-offs
all re-using the same older material that used to be on 1by-day
when i was a member judging by the a to z directories

Why give it away for 1 monthly membership fee when you can have 5-10

They wonder why filesharing is rife

I see that filesonic and megaupload have just been nuked.
Most of the links will quickly be re-upped elsewhere, so it's more of a gesture
than an effective action.

The reason people will kick back against this sort of bullying is mainly that the
content-producers are perceived, as you point out, to be already-healthily-wealthy
chisellers. And the public at large resents the [mis]use of the Law as a means for
companies to protect their interests, instead of keeping to its self-avowed
purpose of protecting the weak and ill-used.
