New Thomson machine...?500

It was the new thomson that got me interested. 40GB hard disk and dvd recorder for ?500.
Yes, what about either chapters, or say 10 minutes time marks as DVD players don't have a Fast Forward, only a fast scan.
What's the best price for blank DVDs?
