Some help re: topless and lingerie and 17 yr olds

Nothing to do with me hun, i wouldnt touch her with someone elses. Was just a bit of advice for a friend...He mentioned it n i told him to keep clear but thought id basically get some back up to what i was saying and the reasons i was saying it. Its not for a porn shoot, shes going to be the face of a car company but i think some of the stuff includes lingerie, maybe topless, meeting fans at max power type affair.

Iv forwarded all this info onto him so its up to him what he does with it.

I might be wrong here but hasn't the Sport published 16 year old Page 3 girls?
I seem to remember them publishing non-nude pics of a 15 year old and counting down to her 16th birthday when she could finally get her norks out.

Jock Strap you are right The Sport and Sunday Sport have both published girls posing topless on their 16th birthdays. but it must be with permission granted by the Parents or a Guardian. It could possilbe be the same for nude has well that permission is granted by Parents or Guardian. Once 18 she can do what she pleases. The law is strange at times she can sleep with or has many people as she likes, be nude in front of them but must have permission to pose topless. I know it is incase she is taken advantage of but some bloke could do that just to get her into bed.

what i cant understand is you can have sex at 16,but you cant use a model for topless or other work,i know there is loads of places out there that have girls from all over the world that have topless and in some cases nude,im just confused in the wording of it all myself like wasent a lot of the old page 3girls doing topless at 16........ anyway im still none of the wiser

It's curious all this, considering a certain west Yorkshire based alleged lady had models in his catalogues up to eight years ago who were said to be 17, and were doing a lot more than just being provocative.

I'm assuming the law has been tightened since then.

From my understanding the law recently changed its wording well recently in the last few years, so that under 18 cant even do pics with parently/guardian consent.

I belive Lindsey Dawn was one such girl who counted down to her 16th.

But the law changed, i say changed but what i mean is it was reworded, for example (this is purely made up as i cant reemmber exactly), it said "models under 18 cannot pose erotically topless unless ages 16+ with parental consent" and then they changes it to say "Models between 16 and 18 cannot pose topless with or without parental consent".

As i recall is was only a VERY minor change so the Protection of Children Act 1978 update 1999 in section 1 specifies child and indecent photograph and the 1999 update included "psedo-photo" meaning computer generated or montage or anything that is intended to be viewed as an photo, sub Section 7 of he Childs Pro Act spells it all out, and upto 2003 child was defind as someone under the age of 16, but then in 2003 the Sexual Offences Act 2003 re-defined the age of a child from upto 16 to upto 18, so that had a knock effect to all the other laws.

Another anomaly which is somewhat strage, IF U was to marry a 16 yr old, and they live with you as man and wife, YOU CAN take indecent images of your wife, regardless of her age, how messed up is that ? but you HAVE to be living to gether in a marrital home.

Anyway its been a long ass time since i did law and im somewhat rusty and maybe mucking things up, but its Protection of Children Act 1978 (which i think was updated in 1999), then section 7 contains it all i cant remember which sub-sections. but then look into the Sexual Offences Act of 2003 where is re-defines the ages of children
