The fast forward will be fixed in version 2.2 of the player but in the meantime you can fast forward by moving or draging the play head back and forth to your desired time in the clip assuming it's fully buffered the loaction.

expanding the video size to fill your computer screen means you lose quite a bit of quality -do you really want to do that?

The thing is, if i have to buffer the clip to that part already to get the fast forward working, then its not really streaming at all, and to be honest not that disimilar to having to download it. Which is a lot easier for the consumer. If you dont believe me, then download a WMV file with firefox and i bet you can start playing it immediately (well as long as you have a broadband line). In my eyes streaming is something like what aebn offers or relish vod, true streaming where i can jump backwards and forwards as much as i like, instantly.

As for the zoom, its not like im actually losing the quality, its just the picture is being interpolated upwards. Ok if i stretch it from 600x400 to 1600x1200, it certainly wouldnt have the quality of a 1600x1200 proper video, but its not like ive lost any of the quality from the 600x400. So yes in my eyes yeah the feature would be needed........am i the only one who thinks this? Maybe? But there you go.

Im not sure why you decided to go down this route, when the previously offered DIVX movies were fine i thought and gave me the customer everything i wanted, where's the new service seems to be a crippled version of what i got before, it has no fast forward, no stretch/full screen and no save to disk therefore no option to watch offline. Perhaps you could tell me why as a customer i would like to sign up to the new player, because if you had 2 of you're sites with exactly the same content i would choose the old method everytime.

Im sorry if it sounds really harsh, but you asked for opinions, and it gets to me when people seem to have a already working great solution and then butcher it. You have some GREAT content already, ive downloaded my fair share of videos from your site and the quality of the movies is great, don't make me turned away from them by forcing me to use some crappy player.

What i meant was with proper streaming videos, they allow you to fast forward/back to any point in the video stream, it then buffers for a short period (maybe 2-3 seconds) and starts playing. So on streamed clips i could click the link, the video opens up in a player, i can immediately select 35 mins in, and in about 2-3 seconds, im watching the video from the time i selected (in this case 35 mins)

With your player, i would have to wait until the software had downloaded all of the video upto 35 mins, before i can fast-forward to that section. Depending on my connection/you're servers connection/peering between isps and what-not, that could easily be 10-20 mins before i can start viewing.

Regardless i think your content is great!!! Keep up the good work.

your attitude to Firefox users stinks .... your site should be able to be accessed by as many browsers as poss ... not as if FF is a small little browser sitting in a dark corner ... it's a major player in the browser market and it's not rocket science to get it working for all.
