Yes my first visit was before the runway extension.... Ex Stuka pilot brought us in.... and we all clapped when we stopped safely. The a/c had to do the 5 min hop over to Porto Santos to re-fuel on the return journey as the Madeira runway was too short for passengers and fuel to get back to the UK.

The cable car starts down at the see front and goes up to Monte (If you get a tabogan back down.... the tabogan stops about 5 miles from the front and eager Taxi drivers await your business).-

I intend to do the walk up rather than do the cable car just to capture the essence of Madeira. I have been twice already since the parents have time share out there.

Madeira is very restful and I am looking forward to at least shooting some more nice landscape pics. I have a few pics I took on my site www.cosmic1.com of whales and dolphins even a closeup one of a seagull flying past the apartment. The seagulls circle for landing at the end of the day and I spent every early evening last visit trying to capture that perfect moment.

I found one club out there I went to and ended up getting chatted up by a bloke - don't think he realised I wasn't gay - oh well, it was funny.

I gather Christmas is quite beautiful from the pics posted here and the loads my friend, Laura, in Madeira sent to me.

With or without models to photograph I intend to have a jolly good time.

Sea Front meant Funchal Port.

This was possibly taken from the Cable car or maybe the tethered ballon they have on the front. or on a second look probably an aircraft... Lol.

This is going a bit off topic for a porn promotion forum !laugh! but there is another new cable car now from Monte down to the Botanical Gardens.

Quick, go before it gets too touristy!

We gave our pilot a round of applause too PC. He circled a bit before landing, giving us a view of the runway and we all must have been thinking 'that looks a bit bloody short!'

That night view of Funchal looks like a shot from the hills before Garajau to me, just taken with a long zoom. I really don't remember the cable cars, but perhaps they were there - we went up to Monte on the bus and took the toboggan down. Silly, but worth doing for a giggle.

A long way off topic, but it is a place I'm pretty passionate about. Serious sea cliffs, waterfalls you drive under to wash your car, the springs at Rabacal, the Curral das Freiras... Great memories

Too late, it's touristy already. If you haven't been for ten years, It won't be how you remember it. Outside Funchal it's still beautiful, of course, but there is a motorway now linking some of the hitherto remote areas. The cable cars have only been there the last 5 years

With no golden beaches, hopefully it'll never attract the big crowds. Hopefully!

It's not to bad. I go to a hotel near the Savoy. It is quiet mind you I normally go during September but this year going in June. Shame I have given up alcohol so I intend to do lots of exploring and discovery of locations for shoots and get some more exercise in.
