I'm a bit of a programming geek on the quiet, which probably isn't the fastest way to do it, but I like to have complete control !adolf!
It started out very simple in Front Page just to get an idea of the layout. All the graphics are done in Photoshop. Then it went into a text editor like Notepad (or now I use Textpad) and I wrote my own Javascript and CSS to do the menus and slideshows. I also write the PHP to control the video preview and members pages, which simplifies the updates and is effectively my own content management system.
To be honest the navigation could be improved and I wish I was a better graphic designer - but whatever...
