Do the programme but don't sign a release until you have seen the edited master, if the edited version don't meet your expectations don't sign.
If they want you to sign beforehand run a mile, we wish you luck....

I wish you luck with this Masie and believe that you have considered all options well before coming to this decision. Heed the warnings of the previous posts however, documentaries have a way of showing only what they want you to see and do run a mile if they want that release form before hand!

Best wishes xxx

The idea of not signing a release before seeing the final cut is nice but won't happen. It is against regs to allow contributors to veto the end result.

Be sensible, think before you say anything and remember that anything you do in front of them is possibly going to be shown to people you see on a day to day basis.

Good luck.

Remember the recent story about the BBC making the documentary about the Queen? They did it even to the Queen.Do you think they would bother to apologise if it wasn't the Queen? To the unsuspecting viewing public,of course, the Queen stormed out of the photo shoot. It's up there in the screen in black and white ( or multicolour pixels if you want.)
Sorry Masie,I don't mean to pour cool water over your project. But be very wary and I sincerely wish you the best of luck and hope all goes well afterall.

It wasn't the BBC that made the film about the Queen - it was an independent company called RDF.

I think the point is, if a production company will stitch up Her Maj. in order to get a bit of controversy into their programme, what chance has the ordinary participant got when yet another independent production company decides to creatively edit their production in order to sell their 'lets laugh at the sex people' film.
We have need of you again, great king.
