To Dollar.
As there seems to be no fees available. What would you offer in return for our help?
I.e would you edit for free for a week or something like.
I am happy to have a trade off.

So can i ask if you are trying to set up a 'professional company' why you are using a " common moniker email that you set up in 1999" rather than a new, more professional email?

'professional company'? sure once we graduate but as i have explained for just now we are students wanting to make a good documentary that will get us a good grade and hopefully get people to take us seriously
again i included that email address so people could look me up on facebook/myspace - putting a face to the name. i could have used a more official sounding e-mail but that wouldn?t have allowed access to such a facility.

Very interesting proposal, i have access to post production students for example that are looking to cut there teeth and would love to undertake such projects.
As for our group I?ve stated ethically that we are not seeking to observe shoots or have access to them so the proposal poses somewhat of a dilemma. It seems hypocritical but then I also see the logic of such an offer ? as such id have to consult my group further.
If you're London based i could however put people your way.

From personal experience professionalism and documentary makers are two words I would never use in the same sentence.
No personal slur on yourself top dollar, but you have chosen a career I would never want to associate with now.
I think you watched too much late night telly and think that this industry is still ripe to have the piss taken out of it.

further to this, the circles i tend to mix in charge upwards for ?400-600 per day to change piles of mini-dv into fully edited, graded and qc'd material. whats the going rate for an adult film editor?
