Natalia who didnt want anything to do with me in your words spent the last two days with me... weird huh ???
Natalia and I had an agreement where we hired her for 5 days to shoot content for a site, the use of the content was agreed as was the price we paid for that time... she at a later stage said she didnt want to do the site, and to that end we did not expect her to interact with the site directly... but that didnt mean that the content we shot wasnt to be used for a site by us...
We would never of shot a girl for that duration of time (5 days) unless we had the ability to monotorise the content however we wanted to, at this point I think the expression that comes to mind is someone sticking their nose in without knowing the facts lol
Anyway lets get back on track... so yes as a company we made it very clear what the content was shot for, she was getting shit from another photographer who wanted to do her a site, but wanted to lay down who she could and couldnt shoot for... we told her we would do the same deal a 5 day content shoot to create a website... in addition as paying her well for her time we also told her she would receive a % from the sites earnings... pretty generous hey...
Alas Natalia as decided to do a site withsome else who is doign it strictly on a % deal with her, even if admitidly a bigger %. We respect her decision, and hope that it does well for both her and the photographer, however this doesnt take away from the investment we made, the time and money spent, and we will indeed monotise the content however we see fit, what photographer wouldnt ?
We also sell content via www.TrashyContent.com if we had just bundled Natalias content up this way and sold the content, we would of proberly sold it 10 + times, and all the people buying the content would of made sites, meaning the internet would of been flooded with her content, and proberly damaged the chances of her other site being a success...
Now the miscommunication and understanding of what we were going to do lies with Natalia... when she first reacted it was without question in a angry way... I can only take it in that moment of anger she said things I would hope she would regret... I am sure she will reply in here to your comments... and clarify the situation.
We did not take advantage of her, we may not work with her again as rightly she doesnt want to take away from her other site project... and to that end I support her decision. However I still call her a friend, she was down to shoot at an apartment we had with another photographer Andy Taylor... she stayed over at the apartment as she had a job in London yesterday... I didnt expect anything in return for this gesture...
She then stayed at my house last night nicking my bed, me having to sleep on the couch
Oh yes I am a real bad sort hey Charlie... not many guys that would give up their bed for someone they dont like... you really are confused aint ya... Also where did I say she was "low" ??? Dont know where in hell you get that from... another mistake on your part maybe ?
Finally I guess in a moment of anger she mentioned the situation between me and another model which I mentioned to her in private... I did indeed have a major problem with a wire sent from the USA... the model in question was paid an amount of money on the day and has now been paid 90% of her fee... can I also point out the model concerned had no issues with the situation, was totally understandable...
As a gesture from me and just to make sure there were no doubts she was being ripped off I gave her my new ?700 laptop and 3 modem card... she was well made up at me doign this as she hasnt got either a computer or internet at home, as a model starting out this is allowing her to market herself... she told me I didnt need to do that, but you know being the so obvious bastard you got me penned as I would do that lol...
So Charlie to recap with cliff notes, Natalia was angry... but we have discussed it and we both see each others side of the story... we are best friends so much she treated me to an expensive french meal last night... ps thanks for that Natalia
