Only ever pay money on the day. Makes sense.

Wow that sucks! If you log onto adultworks you can actually check through each girls feedback and see what comments have been left about them.
Often there will be comments about the custom vids sent out too. My advice would be to use a site such as adultwork for custom vids rather than mailing girls direct. This means if there is a problem with receipt of the goods you may lodge a dispute and demand a refund.
There are quite a lot of girls offering custom videos on adultwork but look out for regular cammers with good quality video cameras and equipment. This means if they are putting in regular appearances that they are more likely to give a shit about their work. Plus they are less likely to try palming it off on equipment failure!
Good luck!

Sorry to hear about you experiences with this model as most girl work hard to get trusted in this industry, i got ripped off the other way round. A guy ordered a custom DVD which i done & sent it to him only to get a e-mail saying he never recieved it, i then sent it again recorded delivery & he e-mailed me once again with the cock & bull story 'i ain't got my film'. I then sent it special delivery & contacted Adult Work about this guy as i knew he would say the same again & he did, Adult Work closed his profile as this wanker was ripping off other girls when they checked his post so we suffer the same thing also. Next time check out the model first as just being on this site don't make you genuine, i now only make custom films for my old customers who i know & trust because its more trouble than its worth.

Thanks to all for expressing your opinions and providing your comments.
To Corona - I can see that you are actively involved in the industry and it would be much easier for you to request product first, money second. For a private buyer like myself, I don't really have that luxury and I would imagine most ladies would not be interested in shooting first given the amount of time-wasters out there.
To videokim - I am sorry to hear that you experienced the reverse (and no, I was not that soldier, in case anyone thinks I was!). Just to cover something that you refer to in your message though - the lady in my case is a well known model that has featured in quite a few 'big' titles (a ********* series, for example), so it's not like I just took a random chance on a relatively unknown model. If I were the model though, I'd definitely look to post the material by special/recorded delivery as a pre-requisite. This was the first time I've ever encountered it *not* happening and it set off alarm bells as soon as she mentioned it, for me. It adds a layer of uncertainty to the process which imho doesn't need to be exist. Unfortunately, the promise of sending out a replacement copy never got fulfilled in my case
She is actively posting away on here still and obviously doesn't have the scruples to put right what she has done so, like b217bravo I just have to write this one off, unfortunately. I must confess to hoping that the model in question runs into some similar situation in reverse though!
To KazB - you are right - I should have ordered it through Adultwork. I think the reason for not doing so was the commission taken, but it serves me right overall.
It is obvious that there are plenty of sincere and genuine providers - and customers too - out there still so I'll look forward to dealing with decent ladies in the future

Oops! I actually wrote the title of the series of films (not the specific number though) the model had featured in, thought it might be giving away too much info, so changed it to the director responsible for the series.
It looks like that was still a bit too much info for the censors so I apologise for that.

I think its appalling you can't name and shame. After all there are not many places where you can be ripped off by someone who can then get away with it and can then continue unhindered in the public domain where her fans have no idea what a rip off merchant she is.!furious!

Yes, and the real pity about it is the doubt and suspicion that is created everytime a well known model posts. Is it her ...or is it her?? I have requested a few custom DVDs in the past, all of them in good faith through this forum and touch wood ive never been ripped off. I too would like to know the girl in question so as to avoid any future disappointment. For the record I have to say that Suzie Best, Rebekah Dee and Beatrix Bliss have all given me excellent service in the past and would recommend them to anyone. Its a shame that there is always one bad apple.

I do regret the dispersions that may be cast on genuine and reputable models as a result of my post, spunkie.
All I can say is that none of the ladies mentioned in, or posting in, this thread are remotely related to my particular case and their reputation preceeds most of them in any case, so there shouldn't be too much to worry about.
I regret bringing this into the public domain really, as I cannot say who the model is, and she obviously is not bothered anyway, so I have achieved nothing in writing about my situation overall.
So, to finish up - my sincere apologies to the genuine ladies on here who continue to provide a great level of service etc. and take pride in their work, and whose reputations might be sullied even a little by my original post. I have no other options of recourse available and just got a little frustrated to see the model in question posting away on here whilst ignoring my attempts to contact her re. my situation.
Cheers,
ted
