Daz,
Read Storm's post again - it's not PL insurance, it's "Public LiabilTITY insurance" - something very different (and specific to the industry)!
Seriously though Storm, if you need any advice relating to insurance please feel free to email me - fully qualified Chartered Insurer and more than happy to help if you have any queries on the subject.

Hi Alan.
Was busy tearing you off a strip for having a go - then realized exactly what you wrote.
Good job I read your post again, now I see it was a joke... have you not heard of smileys?

Seriously though, it did set me thinking Daz.
If I can qualify one point you made, PL insurance covers liability for property damage and injury (including illness) both "at the premises" and away from the premises.
So I can see why a model (who regards herself as self-employed) might be advised to take out PL cover. e.g. if he/she were to spread an STI that prevents another model from working then that model might have a valid claim against the negligent party for loss of earnings, etc.
All very hypothetical because I can't see many insurers offering PL cover to models, nor many models actually buying it. Other avenue is that models rely on the producer/tog's EL cover, which will treat self employed persons working under his/her direction as "Employees".
Third scenario is that neither party bothers with insurance!
Storm, whilst I can claim to have painted Clare's 40DD's and Jeanie's F's, never have my brushes stroked size H breasts! !grin!!grin!
