I looked into the issue I mentioned and have been informed it is very rare so probably should not be a problem. Everyone else is doing it but still would be good to cover yourself legally and get some disclaimers signed so there is less chance of a comeback.

I'm not a lawyer or have any idea really and many parties have happened and I've not heard of any problems so I am probably just a big moaner. Hit me on MSN and I will tell you my real reason for concern. Or get OEJ to send you my phone number.

I hardly think disclaimers would be worth the paper they're written on where any resultant injury/illness is concerned.

Maybe the attached link will focus minds on the very serious issues which apply to both parties and porn shoots (be they amateur or professional).

I think Darren has been around long enough to appreciate the issues involved and, with his UKAP involvement, I'm sure he runs a responsible business.

It's a shame my article on UKAP has brought me nothing but off-forum abuse from those who (1) should know better, and (2) continue to bury their heads in the sand.

They're not worth the paper they're written on because you can never escape responsibility for personal injury - ever. It might reduce the amount that a person wold get in an award but the disclaimer would not be valid.

But all of this pre-supposes that you can prove that any infection was picked up at the party you're talking about.

Plus there is the fact that the law will not intervene in areas of illegality/immorality. These parties are more likely than not, however you dress them up, in that very grey area.

I think the concern over being sued is the least of their worries.

Ok, I contacted Brad and told him to read all the posts on here which he now has and reading between the lines I don't think they are going ahead with the party. He intends to mail everyone who enquired directly and apologise for the decision to cancel.
