Ps.
I already messaged her on PS, told her about the interest in this thread and gave you a good recommendation - although in today's climate my word may not be worth much I'm afraid!

Book a model and treat her like Royalty, never question her expences and pay her over the odds, the mobiles will be buzzing like beez and you will get all the girls you could ever shake a stick at wanting to work with you !wink!

Actually (and I'm not joking here) that's what I do every time.
My references sound like I write them myself!
I'll give you an example of a typical shoot...
Off to the West coast (approx 70 miles).
Pick up model and return back to studio.
Lots of breaks, easy day, stop for food (on me).
Lift home again.
Model gets to keep any clothes I provided. (I once bought a model several pairs of shoes too.)
Model gets loads of HQ pics for free use (little or no watermark).
And yes, I actually manage to do this for a living!
A perfectly normal shoot for me.
My refs will tell you the same.
But since I have been treated like a pariah recently I'm starting to be really choosy about who I shoot.

I always remember the thought and time YOU put into giving me some great advice when i started off in the Biz - Funny, coming from a supposed unscrupulous type? People assume time is "Free" but when your busy running a business, its precious. So,to give it up so freely, to a stranger and without wanting or requesting anything only says GOOD THINGS about you .... x PS.on the one hand i would say to the models " think again Hun- your making a monumental mistake" then on the other, do you really want the (undoubted) hassle thats going to come with working with anyone that easily naive and easily dissueded ,when what you want is a "winning team" and thoroughly professional attitude?...... It is about being able to work together long term,in making money, after all!

Sorry to hear of your troubles Daz.
Still, at least your able to actually know about it. In my experience, most of the bullshit is in the form of 'Chinese whispers'... All taking place behind the scenes...
Then its blown out of all proportion before you even know about it!

Good point Sarah (about picking people carefully).
I do my best to do just that now.

Well Daz if you follow this advice and find the need to make an example and treat a girl like royalty and free clothes and possibly shoes are on offer I suppose I could help you out but you'd owe me a favour xxxx
