I'm sure the law has better things to do if you are just sending things to private clients . It would only be used as a corollary if they wanted to get you for something else.
I worked in law enforcement for ten years.

The law does indeed have better things to do but unfortunately it's not busy doing them.
The law, as it seems to stand these days, goes terribly soft when it comes to crime requiring custodial sentences yet deals rather more harshly with crimes for which a fine can be administered.
Since this would be an offense for which there would be a fine (lovely moolah for the government to spend on cars, moats, downloading porn... etc.) I imagine they'd do you the moment they found out about you.

Remember though, when the revolution comes and I'm in charge - you can send out DVD's all day long and it won't bother me!
So vote UglyDaz!

A lot of us older ones who post here at the bgafd would have done it in the past as porn distribution was very much a grey area, but since R18 material has been legalised there is no grey area as far as the distribution of it goes, basically you cannot sell it other than through a licensed sex shop, but here is a thought if you had a collection of porn that you purchased legally but no longer wanted do you have to sell it back to a sex shop, i mean you cant just put it out with the rubbish can you, another grey area maybe !wink!

I think we are talking about different things here. I'm talking about private DVDs made to order by the performer herself and sent to an individual - which is what I understood Masie to mean.

Hi rgb, i was just pointing out a few facts and like yourself i know exactly where Masie is coming from, any film porn or otherwise needs a certificate before it can legally be distributed, exclusions being... Documentries, Educational films and Sports, some more grey areas for you all to ponder over !wink!

Technically it is distributing. The likely hood of getting caught is small but if Maisie is doing it as aone off fine but if doing the same transaction with more than one person then it would be classed as distribution of unclassified material

Furthermore just even selling a dvd , even a wedding video could be considered selling unclassified material but thats pushing it to ridiculous lengths now.

If you are going to do it then i suggest usuing a courier because using Royal Mail is another thing they wil throw at you if you are nicked.

I thought the law was relaxed on this stuff still because of it not being ratified in the european courts? Has this changed? Check the BBFC website if in doubt.

The word "distributor" doesn't actually appear in the law - if it did, it would be a loophole because it means delivering to more than one recipient, which a private DVD sale isn't. The law just talks about supplying for reward - so it gets you all ways.

My point really is that the law would have to have a real downer on Masie to prosecute solely for one to one private commision sales.

I think the Video Recordings Act has now been re-ratified so that little holiday from the law is now closed - I suspect, in fact, that very few profited from it!

If Masie got someone to narrate her film then it could maybe be classed as a doc where no classifaction would be needed, depending of course how graphic the content is... !wink!
