Hi Matty,
i had the same problem when i got my promo site.....
i originally wanted my site to be like a online profile i could edit when i wanted just with everything in neat little sections so it was easier to read than having all the info on one page,
i tried for months but that just didn't seem to be a option so in the end i just gave a web designer all the written data i wanted included, sent him some pics and let him design it,
i just send him new pics, links and info when it needs updating now.

I'll throw my 5 cents in... it depends on money... I am sure there are some short cuts you could look at using, but if you want a fully functional paysite then it's hard to do without a budget...
You can get a design done for $400-500... dont go to a UK based company, look to outsource in the Philipennes... like we use...
You need to buy a CMS (content management system) we use a company called SiteDepth... I am not technical at all, but it's easy to upload... update and schedule... not sure how much a license is nowadays, I would guess around $500... ish.
Apart from that there's not really any cost, we schedule the sites to update for months ahead so we can concentrate on other things...

Hey Jo
Thanks so much for that, I am getting some great advice on here today, I will look into Moonfruit a bit later, I didn't realise I might be able to use it for a paysite, I had always thought it was purely a portfolio site.
Take care hun, hope 2011 is good for you

Hey Tanya
Happy new year hun, thanks for getting in touch

I really want to do it myself but I think that if, after a few attempts i am still struggling I might do what you did and just pay someone else to do it!
Do you create a lot of your own content then? What do you use for editing? I'm using a Mac with Final Cut but to be honest, imovie works just as well and is a little quicker to use I find.
Take care, you are looking great as always
Happy New Year.

Hey fella, thanks so much for getting in touch

I really like the idea of having a site built and then being able to update it myself like you have done. If the CMS is easy enough to use then I might be able to sort it out myself as long as there is a fairly straight forward way to upload and ensure that people pay for what they see.
I was thinking that streamable content might be better kinda like a pay per view because it might be less likely to be ripped off that way?
I know you will never stop piracy but surely fewer people are capable of ripping a stream than if they were able to download in the first place?
I am loving your site, it looks really nice and polished I must say, that's the kind of thing I am after I think

Take care, hope to chat soon.

Hi Matty,
I hope it's a good year too lol. The site I have is not a paysite, keep mine free. Don't think you can have moonfruit as a paysite, I know you can use paypal but they don't approve of adult sites etc.
Love
Jo
