Why don't you tell us your line speed (upload, not download) and we'll see if your actually at your lines capacity.

FTP is a very lightweight protocol and the speeds at which you can transfer data should not vary between applications, unless you have explicitly enabled traffic management in them.

Hi Twingo... I've now set both up and down load to 0 (no restriction/limit)... is this the thing to do to enable quickest upload time?

In Filezilla if you click the "Transfer" menu and move down to "Speed Limits" it should NOT have a check next to enabled. Then it does not matter what you set as its disabled anyway.

If you still thinking your getting slow speeds then tell us your upload speed and i can tell you the approx time it would take for the amount of data you mentioned earlier.
