Is it worth using ProRes 422, AVCHD only samples in at 420?

Simple answer if you are using a PC Adobe Premiere. A million miles ahead of Pinnacle. The best investment we made.

The Pinnacle you listed above was up to series 12 before AVID bought them out, we can render 2 hours of AVCHD into HDV or HD MPEG2 in about 3 hours.
We do have the latest Sony Vegas which is great but we simply don't have the time to muck about with it for ages & wanted something that was easy & done what it says on the tin lol!
Pinnacle Ultimate15HD will not work on XP only Windows 7 which is its only down full & you need a good graphics card...we use 1gb GEFORCE NVIDIA, 4gb memory & it sails through with no problems.
What we found with AVCHD is that some progs can't work out the difference between 50 & 60 frames a second leaving a shuddering effect like the MAGIC series, Apple is great but not that computer friendly with Windows so we stick to Windows that accommodates both platforms.
