Well the way I looked at it, was that its a headache out of the way, which will get maintained and updated by someone else. I could also then lay my hands on the more desired modern features such as XML feeds, RSS and so on straight away.
Its not been a bed of roses, I'll grant you. But the more time I'm having to develop stuff myself, the less time I'm out selling, and THATS the most important use of my time!
