I was thinking of downloading opera. How much space/memory does it use up?
And whats the url for the site to dl opera from?

Opera is an independent web-browser that is streets ahead of IE. Amongst other advantages is the ability to switch off pop-up windows. It also has a great email facility, so you can avoid viri aimed at IE.
It takes up 3MB without Java, and 12MB with Java (which you need for some sites).
Take the free option (with ads). They appear in a small window top right and are no bother at all.
And Beermoth, what version of IE are you using? ()Go into the help menu and click on "About Internet Explorer".

Cracked it! Clicked on View, Toolbars, Address, the Lock the Toolbars, and I finally have the address bar. Many thanks for your help though, mate. Much appreciated.
