no matter how much is said of the quality etc the price asked for the dvds is way way to much. people might consider 40, 30 yes. now i could be considered a sarah fan but im not obessive enough for the current price!

I'm with Magoo here. Sacha, unless you get a cutting of Sarah Young's pubes in the case with the DVD, there really is no reason to justify charging that much. If you charged ?20 instead you'd find you were getting HUNDREDS more orders and raking in tons more money. It only takes one clever dude who's forked out ?70 to crack the DVD and sell copies of them for ?10 each and you'd risk losing loads of cash.
Please reconsider your pricing. We're ALL fans of Sarah Young at heart, she's utterly gorgeous, and even if the footage is ten years old, we'd all still buy it if it wasn't an entire week's giro in price.
Thanks
Bill

Cheap enough to me

I don't see what all the fuss is about, there is plenty gonzo and amatuer stuff out there at a tenner or less even some of the big Private and Vivid stuff at ?20-30 so you are not spoiled for choice, you can buy all the back catelogue on VHS and he is doing deals on them, this is a limited number of collectors DVD's he spent a year building. The problem is cheap cheap cheap cheap and I am fed up hearing the f**king word.
Sometime it would be nice to hear quality & service.
As for Piracy well don't know anyone who would be mad enough to pirate his stuff on a large scale as he would have them locked up and their name spread everywhere. He even offers big rewards for anyone to grass up a Pirate who he then procecutes...seems fair to me although I would prefer the old petrol trick(can't say to much). But lads you are not encouraging piracy on here are you. Best bet is either buy it and boast you have done so or don't buy it and buy something cheaper seems easy to me. Still I spend ?????????? on my porn. I said before it seems great to sell things cheap, but if people genuine fans are paying it (I have seen the orders) then why flood the market with it, It is not availabe to any distributer not even me, supply and demand is what it is all about and I am glad Sasha has done this it gives me faith there may still be a market left.

No, I don't condone piracy, it's simply not fair, but it's the way of the average buyer when faced with such huge prices.
If people are buying it, that's great, for Sacha and Sarah, but he'd make a lot more money if he lowered the price because the average joe can't afford ?70 per DVD, no matter what's on it. Ultimately, you're paying for a five inch piece of plastic and that price is putting potential buyers off. I really want to buy one as I adore Sarah Young but I simply can't afford it, and I'm tempted to look elsewhere for the same product, which is Sarah's loss.
I see what you mean about ?10 gonzo, but I'm a fan of Sarah's and I'd rather buy her stuff but my hands are tied. No matter how much effort is put into the filming and presentation of a Sarah Young DVD, it's still only one disc, not a box set. Private spend lots sending pornstars into space (sort of) and with elaborate costumes and action/explosions etc but somehow rarely ask for more than ?25 per film.
For ?71, I'd want to see Sarah Young cartwheeling on the moon whilst taking it up the bum from a 18"-penised, two headed Aborigany called Elvis or else I'd feel cheated; the truth is more likely that these films are stuff shot years ago (I recall SY retired, so I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect otherwise) therefore it isn't worth that price.
If people keep buying it at that cost, it will never be reduced and thousands of potential buyers will be put off from buying it and Sarah's fans will either disappear or except equally imacculate pirated DVD copies for a fraction of the cost.
I fancy Sarah Young, always have done, and I don't want her to lose out, but she's cutting her own throat. That's all I'm saying.

At ?71 this will make these the most privated DVDs around.
People dont give a flying fuck that they are exclusive.
If they are just rehashed old footage on DVD then it is an amazing con that will back fire on Mr. Alexander as everyone starts copying them instead of paying.
I would much rather pay ?30 for an original than a pirate but I will not pay ?71.

There's a number of small scale production companies re-releasing material featuring art house and cult films that would expect to sell around 2000 copies in the UK. A similar sales margin to the Sarah Young DVD.
They manage to provide a DVD with extra footage (some of which will be shot especially for the DVD release) as well as including a soundtrack CD, extensive sleeve notes they have comissioned, photo galleries, directors commentary and other features. This will retail for ?20-?25.
The profit margins on a ?70 DVD release will be incrediable.
If people choose to buy it, you have to respect Sascha for having the balls to go for such a massive profit margin. There really is a sucker born every minute. Roll up, Roll up.

Please explain how you achieve profit magin, If I buy rights to some american program It cost ?2000, I then master it put a menu on it and burn my first DVD or DLT cover design etc lets say a couple of days work, ?1000 I then send it to pressing house andorder 2000 units, on DVD9 Cost approx ?1.40 each with box etc, I would say the cost of each one would be about ?3.00 before I made profit,,,would that be fayre,
So Sasha spends years working on these projects buying the most expensive exquipment to keep the quality so high, he compiles every program himself, these films cost real money to shoot all were shot on the highest quality cameras edited it the best edit suites, that is the strength of the man and his mission, he is a fanatic that is true. His answer to you would be, he has done all this for the ultimate in quality, are you good enough to buy his workmanship,
Any ideas of Piracy are from small time loosers, if its not your bag don't buy it at any money, who cares people who talk like that buy Harry Potter with people walking through the picture on the way to the toilet, me I would be to embarressed to admit to buying a pirate copy but I know many do,
Surely it is for the producer to decide the price and if the customers don't like it then they don't buy it seems simple. Any talk of pirating or getting it copied is for loosers,

Unfortunately the pirates are always going to be there, so the sensible thing to do would be beat them at their own game. Make your money back by selling more, sell more buy lowering the price.
Understanably no-one wants a poor copy but pirates don't seem to be so far behind with the technology; I've been shown DVDs that are identical to the originals save for the label on the disc - same menu, commentary, everything, and the cost 50p to buy, and burn.
If a Sarah Young fan is faced with a choice, of paying ?70 or ?10 when ultimately you get exactly the same, I think the answer's obvious which they'd choose. I don't want it to happen either, but it will unless his prices are reduced. Try a discount, Sasha - for one well advertised week sell them for ?20 each, see how many more you sell and you'll see.
I'll be first in the queue!!!

Bollocks Bill it may be a great copy it may have flashing lights and make cups of tea,,,,but its a pirate copy and that is the last word, you miss the point some of us are watching a genuine Sasha DVD tonight some are not. If you dont want it don't buy it. It cannot be exactly the same coz its a pirate, its like buying a football shirt mate, buy one at the matket for ?15.00 it looks the same but wear it to a game and everyone laughs at you, real supporters pay the extra from the club shop because they believe in the principle it buys players. So watch your pirates, hahahaha,
