Anyone will tell you that its plain speaking lawyers that go down well with a jury not the Oxford tossers who have the vocab but are often alien to the client and the jury. You have to be able to speak in terms that can be understood by EVERYONE.
The best barrister I ever saw "on his feet" had a broad Newcastle accent and didnt arse around trying to impress people with big words. Having said that there are plenty of idiots out there who are impressed by big words and no substance.
Some people use big words like a peacock uses its feathers. Its a sign of insecurity. And I dont mean you by the way before you get upset.

I've been to many Work/Club events/parties where chaos has ruled
The upshot-barred for life because of the antics of a few wankers who were a law unto themselves on the night
The relationship between fan & performer is always open to abuse
henceforth the boundaries being spelt out in black & white so even a simpleton could understand

Yet I'm constantly astounded by the complete inability of some people to know what the words, respect and appropriate behaviour means. I mean, seriously. Some people have absolutely no clue. I'd rather be temporarily patronised since I konw it's not really me they're trying to get the point across to. I am always the perfect gentlemen unless I'm paid to be anything else or tragically drunk.

Admirable sentiments....but the sort of Yahoos we're thinking of probably can't read.

I'll think you'll find they can read but as they suffer from tunnel vision
important subjects on the periphery go unread-to our detriment
Come to think of it this probably applies to many posters
I'm sure many haven't the foggiest as to what F.A.Q. means and nor do they care

I once worked for a franchise of a large fast-food chain who are currently barred from every MOD establishment in the UK (and all her territories) for the antics of the staff at a 'do'. Beat that.
