I still pose the question, how do you know those Academics wanting to do the research aren't paedophiles themselves?

To allow them carte blanche to just surf the web and visit such sites
under the label of research is wrong IMHO

To me the middle ground would seem to be collate the material in a secure location for use by Academics or people with legitimate interest

The area of paedophilia has the worst re-offend of any crime judging by all the anecdotal stories floating about or maybe thats just the hysteria & the reporting

Research should be into the brain and what causes it not into the graphic pictures & videos of victims as I can't see the whats to be gained by viewing such material but then i'm just an uneducated laymen

The bit about the abandoned oil rig is totaly made up. For lots of reasons there is no such thing as an "abondoned oil rig" its made up or quoted from a made up story.

Alice,
Paula Meadows suggested to me that I ought to make a Gay Film in solidarity with the Gay Liberation Front and as nobody in the Gay Community dared to do it I stepped into the breach

Alice,
The two public schoolboys are beyond the jurisdiction of the law! But they are making millions

Deuce,
Everyone should have "carte blanche" to the web as you put it. We don't know if the academics researching such subject matter are paedophiles but this also appplies to the censors.
If researchers are to write about pornography then they have to examine the images that they are writing about,
Mike.
